Chhattisgarh's Chief Minister, Bhupesh Baghel, has penned a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlighting the predicaments faced by his state's populace due to inconsistent passenger train services.

According to a statement from the state government's public relations department, Baghel emphasized that the Railways' abrupt cancellations of numerous trains without prior notice have created a challenging situation for commuters within Chhattisgarh.

Aside from cancellations, travelers are also grappling with the inconvenience of train delays, Baghel further noted.

The Chief Minister's letter articulated that the ramifications are widespread, affecting students, pilgrims, patients, businessmen, laborers, and other categories of commuters. He expressed the growing discontent among the state's residents, with both the state government's and Railways' reputations being put to the test.

Given Chhattisgarh's geographical dynamics, the number of train services falls below the national average. Baghel emphasized that trains are the sole viable means of transportation for individuals residing in remote regions, thus underscoring the paramount importance of consistent and reliable train operations.
