Director-General of Police Guides UP Police Recruitment-2023 Exam Preparations

Lucknow. Prashant Kumar, the Director-General of Police for Uttar Pradesh, conducted a comprehensive briefing on February 10, 2024, at the Police Headquarters Signature Building auditorium. The session, attended by the Chairman/Director-General of Police from the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, primarily focused on the upcoming examination scheduled for February 17th and 18th, 2024. The examination is for the direct recruitment of Civil Police Constables in Uttar Pradesh. The Director-General issued detailed instructions to Assistant Nodal Officers, comprising Deputy Inspector Generals and Deputy Police Commissioners from various districts and police commissionerates, including Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Gautam Buddh Nagar, and Ghaziabad.

Key directives issued during the briefing include:

  1. Conduct a thorough assessment of the total number of candidates in each district/commissionerate according to the examination date, and ensure effective traffic, security, and police arrangements accordingly.
  2. Manage coordination with District Magistrates and other relevant departments to ensure excellent management and administration of examination centers within the stipulated time.
  3. Develop action plans for crowd management at examination centers, railway/metro stations, bus/taxi stands, hotels, and restaurants. Deploy a joint duty of administrative officials and magistrates for effective implementation.
  4. Ensure an adequate number of female police personnel for the security of female candidates. Enhance the capabilities of the Scheduled Caste and Social Media Cell for better support.
  5. Address and refute any rumors or objections related to the examination promptly. Take legal action against the spread of false information.
  6. Implement effective police management and patrolling at various locations, including hotels, dharamshalas, parks, bus stops, and railway stations, to ensure the smooth arrival of candidates.
  7. Establish coordination with organizers and various government departments, railways, etc., through the District Magistrate, ensuring advanced necessary actions as required.
  8. Ensure the provision of a sufficient number of male and female police forces at examination centers and implement adequate security arrangements for question papers and answer booklets.

During the event, the Additional Director-General of Police from the Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, along with other senior officers, including the Additional Director-General of Police (STF), were present.
